Methodology

1) Finish the literature review (3500 words) and the data and methodology section (1500 words).

2) Download the data you will use in your empirical analysis. By downloading the data you will be able to create your Table 1 (or even Table 2), which will present some descriptive statistics of your sample and will be in the data and methodology section. Table 3 can be the correlation matrix. So this will help you to write the 1500 words you need in the data and methodology section.

3) Do the empirical analysis (Create all tables you will have in your dissertation. Do not forget that all tables should be self-explanatory, like in the articles in academic journals, with headings and descriptions).

4) Optionally, if some of you finish early with the above, you can start writing/discussing the empirical analysis section of 3500 words. In the empirical analysis it is important to show evidence of critical evaluation. So for every finding you have you need to discuss it and compare with prior findings in the literature. This means that you should say that "This result is consistent with the finding of XX (2005) who argues based on the YY theory that....Or the result comes in contrast to the study of ZZ (1998) who suggested that...An explanation for the different result could be attributed to the fact that....." In general you need to be very critical and discuss all your findings adequately.
