Self-directed Learning

· Provide evidence of taking initiative in your food processing learning without direct instruction. For example, pursuing additional reading using textbooks and online resources, summarising your learnings in written form or verbal form (e.g. short recording videos), creating your own notes and mind maps, taking online courses, watching educational videos, or engaging in other self-directed learning activities or tools.

· Please ensure that you cite the resources you have used following APA 7th edition guidelines – reference list at the end of this document.

· Limit your evidence to a maximum of 2 pages.

Curiosity and Self-Inquiry

· List insightful questions related to the food processing topic that have/ have not been covered in the class, showcasing your self-inquiry skill.

· Provide evidence of you conducting further self-directed research into those questions or topics that intrigue you, showcasing your curiosity skill.

· Limit your evidence to a maximum of 2 pages.

Self-Assessment

· You can try to independently create your own question/quiz or solve similar food processing related problems we have covered in the lecture.

· Using ChatGPT or other AI tools to evaluate your own learning and topic understanding is acceptable. Please attach the prompt and responses.

· Limit your evidence to a maximum of 2 pages + 1 page for a brief reflection (reflect on the specific topics you explored through self-directed learning and how these activities have contributed to your overall understanding and growth, both personally and professionally, for your future self).

Reflection and Self-Development

· Limit your reflection to maximum of 1 page. How to write a good reflection.

· Reflect on your learning journey, identify your strengths and areas for improvement, and develop action plans for continuous/future learning and growth.
