Individual Assignment 2 - Task 1
This is Task 1:
Imagine that the course coordinator of BUSINFO705 has partnered with an online educator. The students are going to be registered on the educator’s website for a free self-learn course for MS
Excel.
To complete the registration, a spreadsheet with the following columns containing each student’s detail must be uploaded to the site:

The student record kept on the coordinator’s own spreadsheet was manually constructed and completed. The columns and the content formats are not entirely consistent with the requirements above.

(https://canvas.auckland.ac.nz/courses/91854/files/10620003/download?download_frd=1) . Copy the students’ data onto a brand new spreadsheet and clean the data so that the spreadsheet is ready to be uploaded to the educator’s website for registration.
The cleaned spreadsheet must satisfy all requirements listed in the table above. Also observe the following guidelines:
1. All first and last names must begin with a capital letter, followed by lower case letters.
2. Due to manual data entry, some students’ data may have been duplicated. Such duplications must be removed.
The cleaning process should involve the following six aspects:
1. Splitting students’ names into respective columns;
2. Checking and fixing the cases of the letters in the names;
3. Checking and fixing the format of the ID numbers;
4. Genders properly represented by the required symbols;
5. Missing genders properly represented; and
6. All duplicates removed.
Note that for each of the six aspects above, relevant Excel functions/techniques must be applied. Manual updates may be applied in conjunction. Marks will not be awarded if an aspect is cleaned by only manual checks and updates.
Your submission for this task should include an Excel file containing the cleaned spreadsheet, and a Word/.pdf document briefly explaining how each of the six aspects of cleaning were carried out.
