Using the same two excel data sets, postgraduates, and undergraduates as in Assignment Part One. Answer question 1 to 4
1) Construct a contingency table for an employment status and undergraduate major for the postgraduates excel data sheet and calculate one conditional and marginal probability.

2) The lecturer had decided to mention three statistics in class to make the students work more diligently during the course. You may only choose one option from each group
It is thought that the weighted average mark (WAM) is normally distributed with a population mean and standard deviation of 63.9 and 12.8. (Use these values as your parameters for the Normal Distribution)
Your task is to write the lecturer’s speech, incorporate your three selections into a small speech that the teacher would say to the class to motivate students to do better. (No more than 200 words)

Perform a one sample hypothesis test, to gain full marks the solution must include

4) In this part, you will need to perform a two-sample hypothesis test, to gain full marks the solution must include Assumptions, Hypotheses, the difference being tested, test data, significance level, t value, p-value, decision criteria, and conclusion in context.
Choose ONE of the following slogans about all students (does not matter if undergraduate or postgraduate) and show statistical evidence to whether it is believable or not.
a) The university bookshop window has a slogan “On average, Females, (both undergraduate and postgraduate), spend less on textbooks and supplies than Males”
b) The university phone shop has a slogan “Females (both undergraduate and postgraduate), send more text messages, on average, per week than Males(both undergraduate and postgraduate)” 15 Marks
