COVID-19 has had a major effect on the higher education sector, and UWA has been required to significantly change its teaching delivery model. UWA students have been considerably affected as they often have had to rapidly adjust to an online environment and in many cases been unable to return to Australia. There have been growing concerns regarding student mental health arising from significant challenges in the new learning environment. UWA want to understand, given the significant rise in recent COVID cases , how students are currently coping across a broad range of issues including learning, financial and mental health, and what they can do to continue to support and assist these students successfully navigate these difficult times.

UWA have asked you to develop a short questionnaire that they could use in the project described above. They want a survey with no more than 12 questions covering how students are currently coping during the COVID- 19 pandemic across a range of issues, with a specific focus on learning, financial and mental health, and what they can do to better assist these students successfully navigate these difficult times. The questionnaire should include a short introduction, and some classification questions at the end of the survey (not included in the 12 main questions) that will allow for UWA to examine differences across various student groups. The survey will be conducted online using UWA student emails. You can use closed or open ended questions, or include a combination of these.
