Assignment Materials

Full materials relevant to the workshop ac5vi5es and the assignment will be available on Blackboard. The workshop topics and the ques5ons to be answered for the assignment are summarised below.

Assignment: Answer the following two ques5ons (both ques5ons are weighted equally for the assignment mark):

1. Iden5fy three leader aRributes/leadership behaviours that in your view you currently excel at (i.e. strengths) and three aRributes/leadership behaviours that in your view you currently do not excel at (i.e. areas for development). For each of the aRributes/behaviours you have selected, discuss how they relate to leadership effec5veness.

2. For the three areas in which you currently do not excel, discuss leader development techniques you could engage in to develop these aRributes/behaviours.

NB: Your answers must be supported by appropriate theories and research.

Word count: 1,000 words +/- 10% (including tables, figures, footnotes but excluding bibliography). No appendices should be submiRed.

It is your choice who you invite to do this. Copies of the measure and scoring scheme are available on Blackboard.

Assignment: You must include the personality profile you completed and the profile completed by the other person in an appendix in your assignment; the appendix is excluded from the word count. You must describe the other person who completed the profile in terms of their rela5onship to you and state how long you have known each other, but you must not iden5fy the person by name.
