Use of General Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) for the MGT376 Final Essay · Developing content. Gen Al (e.g., Bard/Gemini, Chat-GPT, or Grammarly) should NOT be used to develop an assessment content for the MGT376 final essay. · Referencing. You should not use Gen Al tools as sources in your essay, and you should not cite anything that Gen AI took. This is because Gen AI tools may not consistently provide accurate information and citations. Using imprecise or unrelated references from Gen AI might result in unintentional unfair means (plagiarism), adversely affecting the grading of your work. · Improvement of English grammar, vocabulary, or spelling. If you have used a Gen AI tool for this, you should acknowledge it through including the completed Acknowledge / Describe / Evidence template document as an appendix (see the template here) at the end of your essay. If you include this template as an appendix, you should also include the draft (pre-Gen Al) version of your essay as an appendix. · Guidance available. You can follow the University’s guidance on using generative AI. Please read it thoroughly prior to submitting the assignment. · Unfair Means. Using Generative Artificial Intelligence is not in itself unfair means, it depends upon how it has been used and in the context of the assessment. As current generative AI can be prone to hallucinations and may also present information without proper referencing, there is a risk of unintentional fabrication or plagiarism. Please follow the University's guidance on unfair means and AI. |
