Details of Task:
Students will be given a contemporary topic and asked to analyse certain HR issues, bringing in relevant theories and principles.
Word limit: 1500 words (excluding executive summary, TOC and references)
The last two decades have seen a major transformation in the way we work, and this has been driven mostly by the Internet of Things (IoT) and the e-economy. Technological advances such as AI have driven employment growth, particularly in the gig economy sector though platforms such as Uber and Airtasker. While there is a lot of potential applications for AI and machine learning in HRM, there are also some concerns around accountability issues such as privacy and the potential for bias (Nankervis et al., 2023).

This topic explores whether HR professionals are ready to use Artificial Intelligence in their work? What are the main benefits and challenges, and what should HR professionals do to use AI responsibly?"2

5. RECOMMENDATIONS (About 250 words)
What to include:
Give at least 4-5 practical recommendations. For each one:
• State WHAT should be done
• Explain WHY it is important (link to your findings)
• Keep each recommendation to 2-3 sentences

Presentation requirements:
• Use peer reviewed academic journal articles, business reports and reputable websites as the basis of your report.
• A minimum of 10 references, which includes at least 5 academic journals.

• Use Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing.
