Task Summary
In this assessment task, you will progress your real-world scenario project from Assessment 2 to the
Closing process of the project life cycle and present a final report of your project. You will also reflect
on your learning journey in this subject.
Context
As a Project Manager, you are the voice of the projects you manage. This will require you to oversee
the successful delivery of projects in managing organisation and stakeholder expectations as well as
communicate effectively with key stakeholders throughout the project life cycle including executive
leadership teams and other stakeholders in the organisation. In closing a project, it is vital that you
present a final report to the key stakeholders informing them of the overall success and performance
of the project.
In an industry that collaborates globally you will need to be prepared to present either face-to-face in a
boardroom or virtually via collaboration platforms such as Collaborate Ultra, Microsoft Teams, Webex,
or Zoom.
Reflective practice is a process of thinking about new experiences gained and reflecting on them with a
view of learning from these experiences. Reflection needs to be drawn from the experience and deep
thinking applied to determine what worked well, what did not and how better results could be
achieved. It enables you to increase your understanding and gain new insights about yourself, others
and situations. These new insights may lead to a change of thinking or behaviour with the aim of
improving results in the future.
As group work is often a key development area for students, reflection is considered a key part of this
learning process. Consider how the group work experience from this subject be taken forward to the
next group assignment experience to achieve positive collaboration outcomes.
In Project Management, teamwork and collaboration form a key part of working on projects.
Documenting and reflecting on project lessons learned provide future project teams with information
that can enhance their efficiency and effectiveness as they build on the experience gained from each
completed project.
Successful reflection facilitates self-awareness, personal and professional growth, and lifetime learning.
This will help you develop into an active learner and become a reflective practitioner in your
professional life.
Part A: Presentation
Task Instructions
Progress your real-world scenario project from Assessment 2 to completion. As part of closing the
project, you are required to prepare and deliver a Final Report presentation to the Project Sponsor and
Executive Leadership team of the organisation.
Your presentation should address the following:
• The overall success/failure and performance of the project.
• The organisation and administration of the project.
• Tools and techniques used to accomplish results.
• Strengths and weaknesses of the approach taken.
• Recommendations and limitations.
• Key lessons learned.
Requirements of the presentation
The total presentation should be no more than 15 minutes (10 minutes for individual or 15 minutes for
group presentation).
There is no recommended number of slides. A suggested structure for the slides is outlined below:
• Presentation title (include the title of the presentation, student name(s) and student ID(s)).
• Presentation purpose (specify the purpose of the presentation).
• Presentation outline (provide an outline of the structure/sequence of the presentation).
• Presentation body (explain the main points to be presented).
• Conclusion (summarise the key points presented).
• References (in APA Referencing style).
The presentation may be conducted face-to-face in class or virtually using a collaboration platform
stipulated by the University or the Learning Facilitator.

Group Presentation Requirements (if applicable)
• All group members must present for the presentation.
• For authentication purposes, all group members must show their face in virtual presentations
when presenting.
Part B: Reflection
Task Instructions
Reflect on your individual and group work learning experience from this subject. Reflection needs to be
drawn from the experience and deep thinking applied to determine what worked well, what did not
and how better outcomes could be achieved. Consider how these new insights may lead to a change of
thinking or behaviour with the aim of improving results in the future.
Requirements of the reflection
The written reflection should be no more than 1500 words (+/- 10%) (1000 words for individual or 1500
words for group reflection).
The reflection should cover:
• What key knowledge and skills have you learned through this subject?
• How will they benefit your further study and career?
• Any Good, Bad or Ugly individual and group work learning experience?
• What will you do to achieve better learning outcomes?

Assessment Criteria
Your answers will be assessed against the following criteria:
• A presentation addressing the key points covered in a project Final Report
• A written reflection of your individual and group work learning experience from this subject
• Use of Academic Conventions in APA Referencing style.
Submission Instructions
Please submit ONE presentation slide deck and ONE written reflection in MS Word format via the
Assessment 3 section found in the main navigation menu of the subject’s Blackboard site. The Learning
Facilitator will provide feedback via the Grade Centre in the LMS portal. Feedback can be viewed in My
Grades.
