Assessment Task 3 - Case study analysis will be available in the Assignments'page on Tuesday 21 October. It will open at 12.01am and will be due at 11.59pm on the same day.

Details:

This assessment is worth 40%of the total grade and is made up of three (3) extended answer questions. Each question contains a number of case studies in which you are required to analyse and answer questions. In some cases, you are required to do further research to adequately answer the questions. You will be required to apply the concepts and skills acquired during the course (including drawing graphs) to the case studies.

The focus of the assessment is as follows:

· One question on topics 6 Companies and Profits and 7 The demand for and supply of resources (ch 14 of textbook).

· One question on topic 11 Modelling the Whole Economy with an emphasis on monetary policy.

· One question on topic 12 Global Business (combined with topic 4-welfare analysis)

Revision questions will be made available by Monday 12 May in a folder named 'Revision for AT3.'It can be located in the Modules folder after the Topic 12 subfolder. The solution to these questions will be released by the end of week 12.

One or two revision classes will be held in week 12.Your teachers will go over revision.It is important you attend these classes to get an insight of how to approach Assessment Task 3 and how to best prepare for it.

As a way of preparation,you are advised to review topics 4,6,7,11 and 12 with an emphasis on the material covered by your teachers during class.Watching the recordings of those topics will also be beneficial for you.

Instructions

Download the assessment (a document in Word format and change the file  name to 'AT3 answers'); answer the questions in the spaces provided on the paper and then submit it on canvas by no later than 11.59pm Tuesday 21 October.Please ensure you upload the correct file.

Note the following:

· Any submissions on Wednesday 22 October from 12.01 am until 1am will be penalised 10%or 4 marks.After 1am Wednesday 22 October, you will not be able to submit the assessment.

· One submission per student is permitted.

· As this is a final take home exam, extensions are not possible. If you are unable to sit the assessment during the scheduled time you must apply for Special Consideration to be eligible to complete a deferred assessment.

· Word limit: 2,400 words including the case studies, questions, cover page and a reference list. There is no minimum number of words.Any assessments over 2,700 words will be penalised at 2 marks for every 100 words over the limit.

· The  compatible file formats  are doc, docx, pdf.

· It is also recommended that you check your RMIT student email daily from 22 - 31 October in case there is an issue with your assessment 3 which requires your prompt attention.

· Ensure the graphs are  legible,if manually drawn.

· Make sure you upload the correct file on canvas (once you download AT3, change the file name to 'AT3 answers')

· No AI content is allowed in the final submission.
