The HPS201 assignment casts you into the role of a research psychologist. From Week 4 through to Week 9, you will be provided with a weekly research scenario, accompanying research questions and a data set. You will be required to conduct the appropriate statistical analyses to answers the research questions, interpret the results and present them in APA format.

The jamovi tasks will be presented during the weekly Seminars. The task will be available on the HPS201 Cloud site at the beginning of each week. There will be 6 tasks in total. They are to be submitted in two parts:

•         Part 1 (Task 1-3) is due in Week 7

•         Part 2 (Task 4-6) is due in Week 10

You must ONLY use the methods and analyses covered in the examinable content of  this unit when answering the research questions. Responses using methods not taught in this unit will not be awarded marks.

There is no word limit for this assessment.

Assignments are to be submitted online via the HPS201 Dropbox.

For each part of the assessment, please combine all three tasks into a single document and submit one file (i.e., one file for Part 1 and one file for Part 2).

•         Part 1 (Task 1-3) is due Friday 29th  August 2025 at 8:00PM (Week 7)

•         Part 2 (Task 4-6) is due Friday 19th  September 2025 at 8:00PM (Week 10)

The jamovi assignments will contribute 50% of your overall grade for HPS201. Each task will be equally weighted.
