Assessment Overview:

An important part of asset creation is the manner in which you reflect upon your work and learn from it. As a game designer, you will be thinking up and creating a multitude of assets for every scene or game. It is important that you record how your ideas have developed over time, so you can go back and visit old designs later on in the project or in other projects.

This assessment asks you to record how the weekly drawing exercises and theory have helped you develop and shape your portfolios.

Instructions:

•    Each module you will be required to complete the drawing tasks and class exercises.

•    At the end of each module, or whenever you feel your ideas developing from the theory or tasks, write a post in the private journal provided on Blackboard. Only you and your facilitator will have access to this blog.

•    In the final week, write a final reflection on how your portfolios were successful and which parts you think could improve. Be critical in your appraisal.

•    You will be assessed on how you reflect upon your artwork, how you engage with the content and your awareness of how the tasks have changed your design approach or ideas. You need to complete each module task and exercise.

Submission Instructions:

•    Journal (Blackboard)

Minimum of 12 dated entries containing images and a short reflective rationale.
