1. Nonfinancial information disclosure laws play a central role in the promotion of greater Corporate Social Responsibility. With some fine tuning to their design, these laws could make an important contribution to enhancing CSR.’

2. ‘The wave of mandatory human rights due diligence instruments (e.g. French devoir de vigilance, Dutch Child Labour Law, German supply chain law) is only a tentative step in the right direction as these laws are too soft to meaningfully enhance Corporate Social Responsibility practices over global supply chains.

3. ‘Contract law is a strong tool for the promotion of CSR. It imposes duties on suppliers and creates rights for corporations, as lead firms in global supply chains, to promote CSR. As such, we do not need any further legal intervention in the UK to address CSR issues in global supply chains.’
