STAT 576 Final Project

•    Main Objective

Find the subset of your data to represent your target.

•    Objective: I would like to see

1.    Your capability of understanding all the topics we learned.

2.    Your capability of code implementation.

3.    Your effort to explain the important feature

•    Detailed Description for Final Presentation

1.    Powerpoint (or Dashboard).

2.    Contents:

i.    Data summary with visualization (1-2 slides) – This is an Assignment 2

ii.    Method of feature selection (and/or feature extraction). (1 slide)

iii.    Result. (1-2 slides)

iv.    Discussion (analysis). (1-2 slides)

3.    Result process

i.    Descriptive statistics with visualization. (visualization)

ii.    Eliminate insignificant features by prior knowledge – show your reason. iii.    Feature selection method – choose important features.

iv.    Do clustering with k number clusters (‘k’ depends on your target)

v.   (Optional) Do clustering with suggested dimensions from a chosen feature extraction method.

4.   Analysis

i.   Show evidence of why chosen features are important to predict/represent your target.
