Individual Take Home Assignment

Format:

•    Integrative questions which cover more than one chapter.

•   Coverage: chapters 1 - 6

•   Assessment Weight: 15%

•   Word Limit:  800

•   Submission Deadline: (5 pm, 6th  November 2023)

Instructions:

•   You should read the question(s) carefully and answer TWO of the questions: (a)  Pick either Q3 or Q4.

(b)  Pick another one from the remaining three questions (Q1 – Q4).

•   You  need  to  provide  a  short  introduction  of  the  relevant  concept(s)  or  issue(s) identified  in  each  of  the  question(s),  followed  by  a  structured  discussion  of  the topic(s)/issue(s).

•   You should be able to cite from the textbook AND a good range of quality sources to support your discussion.

•   You  are  expected  to  do  some  secondary  research  from  a  variety  of  sources,  for  examples, any academically credible sources of information (apart from the textbook)  related to the question(s)/topic(s), such as academic journals, periodicals, newspapers, web pages etc.  All sources must be cited and referenced in APA format.

•   You are expected to use good examples to show how relevant theories/concepts can be applied to explain and deal with what is happening in real organizational settings (e.g. a company or companies you are familiar with).

•    Your answer(s) should demonstrate a full understanding and appropriate application of all the relevant concepts and theories in the relevant chapters.

•   Write no more than 800 words in total for this assignment.

Assessment criteria:

•    Demonstrated  knowledge  and  a  good   understanding  of   organizational  behavior principles and concepts

•   Successful application of relevant principles and concepts covered in the chapters

•    Demonstrated skills in synthesizing relevant information and providing explanations with a high degree of clarity and effectiveness

•    Effective use of secondary research and references located from credible sources

•    Effective use of grammar, spelling and vocabulary and a good flow of argument

•   You  are  encouraged  to   read   not  just  the  textbook,   but   also   others’  works  on  the topics/concepts.   However,   copying   from    such   sources   without    acknowledgement   is considered to be plagiarism and will not be allowed.    For cases of  plagiarism, penalties may  include,  but  not  limited  to,  ZERO   marks  for  the   part(s)  concerned   of  the assignment.

•   The use of Generative Artificial intelligence (AI) Tools (e.g. ChatGPT) is not allowed. The penalties for any use of AI tools without approval include, but not limited to, resubmission of the assignment.
