Part 1 - Overview of the financial institution:

Conduct  a  background  analysis  of  the  financial  institution  in  their  latest  annual  report, addressing the following questions:

•   What  is  your  financial  institution’s  size  in  the  industry?  Choose  industry-relevant metrics  to  show   (eg.   level  of  sales,   number  of  staff,  total   assets,  funds   under management, regulatory capital, etc.);

•   What are the domestic and global business operations (eg. business segments, key banking and financial markets, profit, market share trend, etc.)?; and

II.       Regulation – Including changes in regulatory capital and other regulatory measures; and

III.       Business  operations  –   Including   changes  in  business  operations  and  significant mergers and acquisitions as a result of the GFC?

Part 3 - Evaluation of future trends

Identify and evaluate four (4) major trends that will impact on the global and domestic

operations of the financial institution and the global debt and equity markets in which they operate.
