Your Task
Create a slide deck which represents a portfolio of analytics methods used in accounting, economics or finance. This task is to be done individually. Submit your slides at the end of class via MyKBS.
Assessment Description
Learning Outcomes: LO2, LO3, LO4 and LO5
Revision and questions (30 minutes)
For approximately 30 minutes as a class group you will recap a few of the analytics methods used in accounting, economics or finance.
Assessment Instructions
As an individual:
• You will choose five analytics methods and a financial, accounting or economics application for each method.
• Out of the five methods that you chose, you are required to investigate one in more detail.
• Reflect on the limitations of the methods and possible ethical, legal or privacy issues.
Refer to the assessment marking guide to assist you in completing all the assessment criteria. This will be provided closer to the due date in conjunction with the Assessment Webinar
Slide creation (2 hours: 15 minutes)
Your presentation should include the following slide format:
• Title, student name and ID [1 slide]
• Summary slide of the analytics methods selected and applications [1 slide]
• Analytics methods 1 to 4
o Create one slide for the analytics method and one for the application [8 slides]
• Analytics method 5
o create two slides for the analytics method and one for the application [3 slides]
• Reflect and list the limitations of the analytics methods chosen [1-2 slides]
• Discuss in short sentence form possible ethical, legal and privacy issues [1-2 slides]
SUBMISSION: You will upload appt slide deck via MyKBS at the end of class.
