Marking Criteria for For Remote Vivas CST3990

1. Content (out of 40)

Award 0-10 marks if the material and the content is incoherent, incomplete or seriously weak in other ways.

Award 10-30 marks if the material and the content is reasonable but flawed in scope or structure or in some other way.

Award 30-40 marks if the material and the content is competent — well- structured, well-paced, complete.

2. Student’s understanding of their work (out of 40)

Award 0 if the student does not show any understanding of their own work

Award 10-25 marks if the student shows some understanding of their own work, with potential gaps in knowledge

Award 25-40 if the student shows coherent and complete understanding of their own work.

3. Presentation/Communication (out of 20)

Award 20 marks if you think the student has communicated the work well over the remote presentation, using carefully prepared slides, diagrams,  demos or any other visual aid.
