Project Brief
This independent project aims to create a map-based adventure or
character fighting game. The primary motivation behind this project is to
apply enhanced C++ skills and explore the possibilities of creating complex and engaging games on low-cost embedded systems.
The game will be designed to run on the ST Nucleo-L476RG development board and will utilize the joystick and LCD display. However, the project can be extended by adding peripherals such as switches, LEDs, or even I2C or SPI based modules such as accelerometers.
The game will have an interactive and immersive gameplay experience,
allowing players to explore a map with various regions, terrains, environments,
and creatures. The player will control a character that can move around the map and interact with NPCs, fight monsters, and complete quests. Following features are included in my game:
A combat system
Players can engage in turn-based battles with the monsters. The system
will allow players to use a variety of skills and spells to defeat enemies.
A leveling system
Players gain experience points and levels as the game progresses.
A dialogue system
Players interact with NPCS to get quests, get tips, or delve into the lore of the game.
An inventory system
Players can collect and use items such as potions, weapons, and armor.
