Discuss an effective Data Science visualization . This could be a static or interactive chart, a short movie or a piece of data journalism . You should explain the problem being discussed, the nature of the data that has been used and how it was collected, any data processing or machine learning that was used and the reasons that you believe this visualization is effective . Your discussion does not need to be limited to one particular graphic, but could include a broader discussion of good and bad design for data visualization . The essay should include a static picture of the data visualization and a link the visualization .

The essay is worth 20% of your final mark, and must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Friday 15 April as a Word document or pdf file to the Assignment Dropbox on Moodle .

Guidelines for your essay

The essay will have an upper limit of 2000 words . There is no lower limit on

words, however if you are well under the word limit you may lose marks for lack of content .

The essay should include a bibliography with appropriate referencing . The

Your essay should take the form of a technical report . See Monash RLO -
