ii) Maximin
iii) Laplace
iv) Minimax
v) Hurwitz (with α = 0.7 )
vi) Maximum Likelihood.
b) Using the “decision-making under risk” framework, calculate the

b) Discuss the structure of a cause and effect diagram. (40%)
c) How you would go about generating a cause and effect diagram? (30%)
d) Draw a Cause and Effect diagram that describes the root cause of “Poor air quality” (20%)
4) The activities, their durations, costs and precedence relationships within a project are described in Table

6) Welsh Medical Supplies (WMS) are a distribution company who offer next day delivery of medical equipment, furniture, and pharmaceuticals to Doctor Surgeries. WMS are considering opening a new distribution facility in Scotland in order to be able to compete in the Scottish medical supply industry. It is not possible to do this from the current warehouse in Wales due to the long transportation lead-times from Wales to Scotland. The leasing of a new distribution center in Scotland has fixed costs of £100,000 per month. The table below describes the sales price, variable costs and forecasted monthly sales quantities from the Scottish warehouse in the various product ranges that WMS offer.
Using the multi-product breakeven analysis technique, determine if the new warehouse should be leased and the profit or loss that would result from this new business venture. Furthermore determine the quantity breakeven point for each product.

7) Discuss the principles and the notation of Causal Loop Diagrams. Using suitable examples illustrate the range of possible dynamic behaviours that they describe and state the necessary conditions for the different types of dynamic behaviour to exist. (100%)
